This year alone the country has featured in a couple of lists produced by renowned publications. Our nation has done it again!
The London-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) publishes the Global Liveability Ranking lists. The lists are the Most Liveable Cities and the Least Liveable Cities in the world. This year Harare, Zimbabwe has made it to one of the lists.
If you guessed that Harare made it to the Most Liveable cities list, you are wrong. The City of Harare was ranked 8th the list of worst cities to live in. What a huge stoop from the “Sunshine City” it once was.
Other cities on this list were Damascus, Syria, Lagos, Nigeria and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. These cities were ranked first, second and third respectively.

The other list published was the one with the best cities in the world to live in. Of course, the cities listed are from first world countries.

As previously mentioned, this is not the first list Zimbabwe has appeared in this year. The nation was also in the United Nation’s List of Shame. On a more positive note, we also appeared first in SADC for a World Health Organisation’s list.
