The biggest mobile money platform in Zimbabwe, EcoCash has given notice to their agents who are in possession of agent lines but are not using them. The company has basically said use it or lose it, so if you are in possession of an agent line and haven’t used it for the past 90 days you might just lose it.
EcoCash has also given warning to those who are selling their lines to other people, indicating that the agent lines re property of EcoCash.
Ecocash are charging RTGS$500 to activate an inactive agent line.
Ecocash Customers are also being extorted by agents who demand a premium for Cash-out transactions.
