This is one of those issues that will obviously be divisive on social media but anyway here goes, 2 Harare polytechnic students were on the 24th of March suspended for hugging.
It is reported that on the 22nd of March 2021 Yolanda Musithu and Blessing Pasipanodya were caught by the principal of the institution hugging which is in direct violation of COVID-19 regulations set by the World Health Organisation, the government of Zimbabwe and the higher institute of learning.
Yolanda Musithu was issued with a suspension letter (Below) but this as usual has divided social media, with some obviously supporting the suspended couple and some for the move.

Apparently, a number of students have been suspended for similar offences a the institution.
In my own opinion I think it is imperative for people to follow rules especially during a pandemic, but some social media users do not seem to agree, below are a few snapshots of comments we’ve managed to glean.
