The popular Joina City building caught on fire yesterday and many people probably drove into town earlier to see just how much damage there was.
There wasn’t much to see as according to videos circulating, the fire was contained at a certain outdoor area of the building.
Joina City released a statement and confirmed that the fire was caused by a mishap in one of the restaurant kitchens but it was contained to one area because their sprinklers were set off. They also confirmed that the fire brigade services managed to come and make sure that the fire was quickly distinguished before it got out of hand.
According to the statement, no one was hurt except a few people who had water poured on them by the sprinklers. It certainly would have been depressing to hear that anyone was hurt. Joina City went on to thanks stakeholders for the prompt response in assisting the situation and also thanked the general public for their concern and prayers.
