The Gringo star, Blessing Chimhowa aka Mbudziyadhura has sent out pleas for help in regards to his health. His current financial situation does not allow him to receive the necessary health care that he is in dire need of.
His co-star Lazarus Boora AKA Gringo succumbed to cancer last year, and he too at the end was struggling financially.
Mbudziyadhura’s friend and manager, Paradzai Makosa aka Sekuru Para had this to say in an interview with the Standard Style:
“He became ill on Tuesday afternoon and became worse overnight. He was then rushed to a nearby clinic in the early hours of Wednesday. His health stabilized and he was later discharged without further referrals.”
The star’s health challenge can be traced back to a car accident that almost claimed his life back in 2007. Due to abdominal injuries sustained as a result of the crash, Mbudziyadhura has since faced many more related health challenges.

Mbudziyadhura’s family issued out a statement asking well-wishers for any possible assistance on the matter. The situation hasn’t been easy especially considering that Mbudziyadhura is no longer employed.
Most of his career plans are now very much dependant on his recovery. Makosa mentioned their plans to start improving his social media present and continuing the legacy left behind by Gringo. He said the following:
“Currently we are trying to create content for his new youtube channel as well as grow an online community through Facebook and Instagram. There is also a possibility of working on a new Gringo movie fronted by Sekuru Banda.Gring’s son [Taurai] and Mbudziyadhura will pair to keep alive the legacy of the late comedian. All this was halted by covid-19. The acting profession stood still since the pandemic’s outbreak.”
