The media in these times has made sure to celebrate mothers who managed to achieve great things while juggling motherhood and household responsibilities. They have even been given fancy names such as mompreneur, momager and momboss among others. Me-time has also started being infused into motherhood routines.
Apparently, we have not have not been on the same page. It seems that not everyone is happy to have their mothers take some time out to do something outside of motherhood responsibilities. A mother, according to several people on the internet, should be on call 24/7.
A post on social media recently went viral. It had an adult child complain about the mother not immediately attending to them when they needed to be attended to. Surprisingly, many other children who seem old enough to take care of themselves had the same view.

However, some people were of the view that this was rude and mother’s could have a life outside of taking care of children. Others were of the view that these sentiments displayed a level of care for mothers as these kids just want to know where their mothers are, what they are doing and who they are with.
Mothers haven’t been the only ones being told how to handle their affairs. Biological fathers were also recently put on the spotlight as people said they needed to ask for permission to hang out with their children from their stepfathers.
