Delta Beverages has appointed a new CEO. This follows the retirement of Mr Pearson Gowero who served as the CEO and director of the company from June 2012. He joined the group in March 1997 in the marketing division at Chibuku Breweries. Gowero steps down on 30 June 2021 and will be replaced by Matlhogonolo Mothibedi Valela.
Mr Valela is currently serving as the Group’s Finance Director since July 2011. He joined the Group in 1996 and occupied various roles including that of Group Treasurer in 2003.
He is a Chartered Accountant who served articles with Schumulian & Sibanda Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelors Degree in Technology and an Accountancy Degree with the University of Zimbabwe.

Mr Valela’s role as the Group’s Finance Director will be assumed by Mr Alex Makamure who currently serves as the Company’s Secretary and Group Treasurer. He will take on the new role with effect from 1 April 2021.
