OnlyFans is getting rid of pornography starting this October, as the platform succumbs to pressure from banking partners.
If you’ve ever visited OnlyFans, what were you doing there? Just kidding!
OnlyFans the social media platform that gained popularity on the back of pornography especially during the pandemic is set to part ways with what made it rich. The service which is very popular with sex workers will still allow nude photos and videos if they comply with their policy.
The platform which has over 130 million users will now focus on providing a platform for musicians, fitness instructors and chefs as the company is currently trying to raise money from external investors, who are obviously reluctant in investing in pornography.
In Zimbabwe one notable name that uses the platform is the musician Kikky Badass.
Now whether this move will prove to be beneficial for the platform we wait to see.
