Founder and leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG),Shepherd Bushiri has reported yet another poisoning saga. This time his wife seems to not be the main or sole target of this poisoning attempt, as she has been before.
In his exclusive interview with Times Television, Bushiri explained that this unfortunate event took place in a South African prison where Bushiri was held for 11 days for money laundering charges. In addition to being poisoned, Bushiri adds to the list of allegations by referring to the unfair treatment he received as a foreigner in a South African prison. In addition to this he claims that three police officers demanded bribes and threw threats at him while dealing with his case.
He has since fled to Malawi in an attempt to safeguard his life and seek justice in Malawian courts. This follows his release from prison on bail. One of the conditions of this bail was that he should stay in one house for purposes of easy monitoring.
