The post Zimbabwe makes Forbes 2021 list, but for the wrong reasons appeared first on Provoker Magazine.
]]>This World Happiness Report of 2021 sought out to analyze the effects of Covid 19 and how people have responded to these. They further evaluated how governments all over have dealt with the pandemic.
For the 4th consecutive time Finland manged to scoop the first place in the happiest countries list. If you were thinking Zimbabwe managed to feature on this list, you have incredibly high hopes.
The report balanced out the equation and drew attention to the unhappiest countries on the Globe. If you thought Zimbabwe featured on this list, yes, we made it!
Before you argue, consider the following statement given by the report’s editor:
“The evidence shows that people’s morale improves when the government acts”
Could we then say our rank in this list is a strong reflection of the governments functionality? Perhaps you would say it is.
Our position as third on the unhappy countries’ list following Afghanistan and South Sudan surprised some. A citizen gave the following statement that seemed to echo many others’ sentiments. He said:
“kuiswa mutop 3 ne team rehondo here amana”
As much as this thought paints a very disappointing picture of the country and its governance, it can be reasoned, could a report based on a intangible measures produce very conclusive results such as these, or could there have been an agenda behind painting such an image on Zimbabwe?

What are your thoughts?
Let us now in the comment section below.
