]]>An Azam FC official stated that Takwara had been invited for trials starting on March 11 2021. This trial stint was made possible by football agent George Deda who has already build a strong rapport with Tanzanian clubs. Deda was able to make this move through his Soccer Transfer International Agency.
Mr Deda gave the following remarks,
“We have been working hard during the Covid-19 lockdown to get Zimbabwean players deals even when the league is inactive. Takwara has been invited for a two-week trial by Azam and from here, he will proceed to Ethiopia’s St George’s. We are confident Takwara will impress and grab the opportunity”
In view of this opportunity, George Takwara revealed that he is confident that these trials will yield good results. He conveyed that most of his confidence can be attributed to the fact that all Zimbabwean players who have had similar trials in Tanzania had managed to go make the grade.
East Africa is currently home to Zimbabwean soccer players such as Prince Dube, Bruce Kangwa and Never Tigere.
We wish Takwara all the best as he embarks on this endeavour.
