]]>The Cholera outbreak which was declared a State of Emergency by the government of Zimbabwe on the 11th of September 2018 has so far claimed 45 lives.
The EU Joins a host of other donors including corporates who have donated towards the fight against cholera.
Budiriro, Glen View, Chitungwiza and Mbare were the hardest Cholera hit locations, and the EU through the Red Cross will setup eight oral rehydration points in addition 120 Red Cross volunteers, 20 supervisors and 60 community leaders will be trained on health and hygiene education.
Soap, water purification tabs, buckets and jerry cans will be distributed, and 100 hand washing stations which will be set up at health centres, oral rehydration points and other public places.
The EU will also carry out door-to-door campaigns and mass media awareness will be conducted. Community volunteers will monitor the situation and refer cases.

]]>The financial institution presented the donation which comprises of 3000 buckets, 3000 units of Waterguard and 120000 litres of clean and fresh water which will be distributed over a two week period, to the City of Harare Health Department, at Tichagarika shops in Glen View.
NMB joins other corporates including Econet Wireless which donated $10 million towards the cause.
The Cholera outbreak death toll has so far risen to 45.
