]]>Some Hwange villagers organised a party for the independence day celebrations. The party ended in tears as Bongani Dube(31) stabbed and killed the husband of Buhlebenkosi Ncube (18). The brawl between the two men started when Advance Sibanda (33) (the husband in question) saw Dube dancing with his young wife at the party. He fiercely approached Dube and began the fight that lead to his death. Dube was equipped with a knife which he used to stab Sibanda.
Matabeleland North police spokesperson Inspector Glory Banda confirmed the incident saying that they received a report of a murder that took place at an illegal party. Sibanda died at 5am at Makwandara Clinic.
As such gatherings are prohibited during this Covid-19 period, the organiser of the event, Mercy Rwafa was arrested. She is currently under detention at Dete Police Station.
The alleged murderer is said to be still hospitalised as he sustained a stab in his thigh.
