The post Khanyi Mbau: “There was no penetration” appeared first on Provoker Magazine.
]]>Everyone wants to know if the love scene was real. Were they really naked? Was there penetration?
Khanyi Mbau led with a response and said that there was no penetration during the love scene. She said:
“The Wife belongs to a corporate entity called Showmax, and it is a professional entertainment platform. They are not a porn or adult entertainment company”.
Khanyi spoke about safety precautions and regulations saying
“Number one is hygiene. Number two, there are Covid tests when any character comes into contact with another to make sure none of the actors is put at risk. The actors are then allowed to choose who they want in the room. They are given a shortlist of how they are going to shoot this.
“There is a green tape for the characters so there is a safe line. It is something that you will not see, but we see it and the camera guy knows once I look into that, it means he needs to stop. They have gone past my limit of comfort and safety”.
“Body parts are protected, strapped and kept away from each person’s body. This is because we are natural human beings, especially men. If there had to be an erection, it would show, and it may put me in a position where I feel uncomfortable”.
“Actors are respected, you do not look at an actor when they are nude. Once there is a cut, characters stand apart and we’re given our gowns in which we are covered and protected”.
When asked about how they managed to make people believe they were fully naked she said
“I wore the thinnest T strap underwear you can ever imagine. Camera work allows the illusion for you to think there’s nothing there when there’s everything there. For example, in the scene where he went down on me, there was literally a big camera in the sheets with us,”
“Even in the scene where you see Nkosana under the sheet talking to me, you thought I was there. I wasn’t there. I was not even in the room when they shot him lying in bed as if they were both there,”
Mondli on the other hand did not disclose much about the technical side of pulling off such a love scene but he said acting is a craft, and the fact that so many people across the country believe that the intercourse actually happened, only means that they both did a magnificent job.
A lot more was spoken about in the Twitter space including how they broke the news about their love scene to their significant others and how they built a relationship that allowed them to work together. Although the scene lasted for minutes on the show, in real life it took them a minimum of three hours to film.
Although people like to fixate on the nitty-gritty like knowing if the pair really had sex what matters is that they did the job well enough for us to believe that the characters they play did the deed. That’s all that matters. Their job is to tell a story and as far as the story goes, the characters had s_ex. However, it’s natural for people to want to translate what they see in a fictional story into real life. Because if Khanyi and Mondli really did have sex, that would just blow up even more headlines.

]]>The explicit scene comes a few days after viewers took to social media to complain about the show calling it boring. Well, the producers of the show responded with what people probably love the most based on the views….s_ex.

There isn’t much to say about the scene beside the fact that is the most explicit scene so far in South African television. Some people are wondering how The Wife managed to get itself ranked next to Fifty Shades of Grey?
The Wife is an adaptation of the book Hlomu The Wife by Dudu Busani-Dube. Although the original story is a romance story, the focus is more about crime, culture and wealth. It follows the love story of Hlomu a journalist and Mqhele a taxi (commuter omnibus) owner who also commits crimes in a bit to protect himself and his brothers.

When it was announced that The Wife would be playing on Showmax, many people (including myself) anticipated the book coming to life on their screens. Sure one expects a few changes when it comes to movies/series versus the book. Some details are different like we saw in movies like Harry Potter. Some viewers were however disappointed when they discovered that the storyline is very different compared to the book.
Some people are calling Khanyi and Mondli the best actors in Mzansi. This is weird given that a few days ago they were calling the show boring. Are they the best because they simply are or because of the explicit scene? Another issue of note is how the shower hour on Big Brother Mzansi rakes in more views than any other hour of the day. People are generally more interested in the content with more explicit scenes.

Some people argue that if the scene was in an American movie people wouldn’t have reacted like they are. They would have considered it normal. Because of our culture, people expect different standards from local African content compared to international content.
There are comments that the scene would not have been aired on SABC and they are probably true because of the BCCSA restrictions. But Showmax is a streaming platform that is accessible internationaly. It competes with other streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. When you put The Wife next to other international shows like Fifty Shades of Grey, you realize that there isn’t much of a difference. It’s shocking to some because we are in Africa.

Working Wives was the first Zimbabwean show to make it on Showmax in 2021. As our entertainment industry grows we are bound to see more and more shows like itself making it on international streaming platforms. Will they also have to tweak their content to satisfy the viewers? Will we also be watching a steamy scene in shock one day? That would be interesting because Zimbabwean film is yet to reach a point where couples can be shown on the screen with no clothes on like Khanyi and Mondli did.

]]>Kudzai Mushonga aka ndege boy started a fire when he took to social media to report that his girl had gone to the salon and not returned. Her fans were worried and Zimbabweans feared that they had lost their muroora.
Khanyi resurfaced in South Africa stating that she was fine and there was no need to worry. Speculations suggested that she had left Kudzai after attaining 51% stake in his businesses.
Of course we are not forgetting the viral song in which she sang “leave a man in Dubai…leave like you’re coming back”
It seems that Khanyi Mbau might just be “coming back.” In an Instagram post she shared a plane ticket and the destination was none other than Dubai. This is were she left her lover Kudzai Mushonga.

Perhaps there might just be hope for the couple but details are not yet clear.

]]>For those who were still holding on to the hopes that the couple would work things out, unfortunately this might never happen. Those that already felt like it will end in tears before the couple even went on the fateful Dubai vacation seem to have been right.
Those who still held onto the belief that Khanyi was not after money seem to have been proved wrong by the rumours that Khanyi left after gaining 51% stake of Kudzai’s business.
Now, there is a newer development on the issue. Khanyi Mbau her lack of remorse for leaving Kudzai like that in a song.

Now it is clear that Khanyi is not remorseful over the whole situation. She was captured singing a song with the lyrics, ““Shiya indoda e Dubai … phuma ngathi uyabuya.” The line can be loosely translated to dump him in Dubai, leave like you are coming back.
Her recent Instagram post emphases that there is no going back to Kudzai. She accompanied the image with the caption, “leave like you’re coming back…#MrsK”

Unfortunately for another Zimbabwean brother, Tino Chinyani, mjolo has also ended in tears.

]]>The relationship goals couple took us on one hell of a helicopter ride. We loved them, wanted to be them, then quickly definitely didn’t want to be them. Thanks to the Dubai vacation scandal.
All the while, we have only heard our homeboy’s side of the story although Khanyi seemed to have hinted that she is happier where she is now. No one knows for how long, or what prompted her to leave yet.
However, rumours have now revealed that she fled after finally receiving 51% stake in Khanyi’s business. Ndege boy is said to have sold almost everything, including his fleet of exotic cars to expand his business interests. One of the reasons he did this is said to have been the life he had promised Khanyi.
According to Savanna News, ndege boy said that he wanted to teach Khanyi how to make money and unfortunately South Africa was limiting her. So he moved to Dubai and started a new company with the money from his sales. He is said to have made Khanyi the major shareholder, with 51% stake.
This has lead some to believe that this might have been her plan all along and since she had gotten what she really wanted, she left. For some it confirmed their pre-established belief that Khanyi is in the business of milking men to sustain her lifestyle. Others are still pointing out that Kudzai might have done something that lead Khanyi to flee.
Whatever the case may be, we are still yet to hear what transpired from Khanyi herself.

]]>Kudzai Terrence Mushonga aka ndege boy was heads over heals with his cougar lover Khanyi Mbau. Khanyi Mbau is a South African socialite who was in love with our homeboy Kudzai. Well, maybe on hindsight, love is too strong a word.
The couple quickly became relationship goals and Zimbabweans took their hats of for Kudzai for making such a big move. As the common Shona expression goes, he succeeded in “kutanha dzaasingasvikire.”
Now Zimbabweans are back on his case that he should have settled for someone in his league in the first place, much like Holy Ten ended up doing after rejection by Tamy Moyo.
While on a romantic getaway that got social media ogling over the couple, Khanyi brought much distress to our homeboy. She suddenly disappeared and a distraught Kudzai took to social media over her “deliberate disappearance.”
Mbau quickly responded to media to say that she is “well and alive” and not “missing” as her boyfriend’s viral stories had suggested.

Well, this isn’t a direct response on the status of their relationship. No doubt we all know what they say about silence. “It speaks louder than words.” What started as a hair salon visit ended in a missing person report. Sad!
Sorry Kudzai!
Khanyi, who was thought to be missing in Dubai, later resurfaced in South Africa. Her brother had this to say:

Following this ordeal, Kudzi, our ndege boy has lamented over not listening to his mother. Watch the video below:
