The ship was ferrying luxury cars- including models from Porsche, Bentley, Audi, Lamborghini and other Volkswagen AG brands- from Germany to the US when it caught fire two weeks ago. About 22 crew members were evacuated when the fire broke out on the 16^th of February.

The ship burned intensely for days and it was being towed to safety when it sank due to structural problems caused by the fire and rough seas, according to a port official. The vessel is now at the bottom of the Atlantic at a depth of about 3,500m (2.17 miles).

Incident insurance experts Russell Group Ltd. estimated that the cargo onboard the Felicity Ace was worth about $438 million, of which the cars on board accounted for about $401 million. Russell estimated that VW could face losses of at least $155 million. However, Volkswagen previously said the damage to the vehicles was covered by insurance.

The late Ginimbi is known to have had an impressive fleet of expensive high performance cars. Cars in his garage included brands like Rolls-Royce, Range Rover, Bentley, and Lamborghini.

Five days ago a local car dealer in Eastlea Harare posted a yellow Lamborghini for sale on Facebook. And since one does not see a Lamborghini on the road often in Zimbabwe, you can’t help but wonder “Is that Ginimbi’s car?”

Well…nothing is impossible. There have been a lot of rumors going around about Ginimbi’s car since before his untimely passing. The first rumors were about the cars being seized because of alleged improper tax procedures when they were imported into the country.

The next rumor was that the Lamborghini was given to a close friend of his. This was after his mansion was to be converted into a hotel which would operate under a family trust. Is it possible that the maintenance of the luxury vehicle was too much to bare and it had to be sold off?

Ginimbi was very proud of his car collection as shown by the many pictures he posted on social media. That is why when a super car is  seen on the streets people immediately think it is one from his fleet. So when one sees a vehicle that was named as part of his fleet for sale, you cant help but wonder in light of past events if that could that be his car.

The car has been listed for a whopping 320 000 USD. And with the increasing number of people that aspire to live the “soft life”, this car could be as good as sold. It would be interesting to see who takes up the offer and if we will be seeing it on our streets soon.

Muradzira (27) was found almost dead after a 33 day and 33 nights fast. Accordingly, the fast was actually supposed to last for 40 days and 40 nights. The reason behind this fast had even the Church leader, Bishop Mawuru, shaking his head disapprovingly. Mark was fasting for a Lamborghini since his girlfriend had said that it was her dream car.

The young man almost died alone during the fast as he had separated himself from people to avoid any temptation whatsoever. Fortunately, his friend found his hiding place before it was too late. The frail and unrecognisable Muradzira was taken to Bindura General Hospital. He is finally said to be recovering.

Many including the aforementioned Bishop have expressed that the young man should have at least fasted for something like a job since he is unemployed. Church members had tried to raise the money to make the young man’s dreams come true but upon realising that the cheapest Lambo costs USD$400 000 quickly aborted the mission. They resorted to helping with the man’s hospital bills with the USD$37 they had thus far raised.

However, once you see the luxury vehicle, its no surprise that this young man and his girlfriend dream of such a car. Perhaps we can give him the benefit of the doubt and say if this tuckshop owner could own a Lambo so could he.

45 year old Gabriel from South Africa is said to have been saving up all his profits since 2015. After all his hard work in the tuck shop he finally managed to accumulate enough profits to buy his dream car. But of course, haters gonna hate and say that’s not possible.
