The post Madam Boss Partners With Universities In Poland: Is This Move Self Motivated Or Government Assisted? appeared first on Provoker Magazine.
]]>Over recent years we have seen Madam Boss push her brand beyond comedy into acting and the corporate space. She started off by posting skits on social media and people loved them. Soon she had thousands of followers and corporates wanted to do business with her. She soon started partnering with many brands like Netone, Skylake Borehole Drilling, Nyaradzo, Pimkett Travel and Tours, Senditoo, Nash Paints and many others.
Madam Boss recorded a Facebook live video with a Euro-Scholars Poland representative and said that the purpose of her journey was to show people that her partnership with Euro Scholars Poland is legit. She spoke about the doubts people had when she once posted about Euro-Scholars Poland on her social media pages.
Madam Boss later posted pictures of the campus (below) after her meetings with Euro-Scholars Poland representatives with the caption:
“Thank you for partnering with MadamBoss, here is to the beginning of a great achievements next stop is UK
,Canada, America
am so grateful yoooh mwana waRoisi womiririra ma University
Euro-Scholars Poland thank you
VPU/Vincent Pol University in Lublin, Poland
”

This development comes after Madam Boss met with the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting, Monica Mutsvangwa a few weeks back. A lot of local influencers have been working with the government on various projects like the Women for ED initiative meant to empower young women. Other popular names associated with this initiative are Mai TT and Zodwa Mkandla. Could Madam Boss’ trip be a result of rubbing shoulders with the government or is it part of her strategy to spread her wings of influence beyond Zimbabwe?

]]>Mai TT is a popular figure on various social media platforms with a Facebook following of just over 1 million. She says her aim is to harness that influence to help people find love. In her live video, she talks about how difficult it is to find a partner and more so when one is HIV positive. She spoke about how she will also have sessions dedicated to helping HIV positive people find love on her dating show.
The dating show will be hosted on Facebook Live. And people that wish to be matched with a potential partner will have to request to join the live video. Upon being selected to feature in the live video the requester will then be given a chance to showcase themselves. According to Mai TT, she will ask a few questions so that people can know a few basic details of the singles that request to feature in the live video sessions.
This approach is definitely not for the faint-hearted single or for people with insecurities. It requires a lot of courage and confidence to put yourself out there on an international platform in search of love. Mai TT didn’t make it any easier when she advised that those that wish to participate should make sure they dress up and make themselves presentable for the occasion to avoid embarrassing themselves.

The service seems to be free of charge as there was no fee mentioned in Mai TT video (link below) or the flier (picture above) on her Facebook page. Mai TT mentioned that she saw the idea on another American woman’s Facebook page and she was inspired to do her own version for Zimbabweans. It’s definitely not the conventional way of meeting someone but it’s promising to be an interesting and entertaining dating show.

]]>Mai TT rose to fame with her funny and relatable skits on social media. She is also an activist against the stigmatization of HIV positive people and she is open about her HIV status as well. She is a businesswoman and a musician.
Mai TT is also known for her free speech during her live videos. She does not hesitate she speak her opinion and check those who speak about her as seen during her showdown with Olinda Chapel last week.
Mai TT joins the likes of Madam Boss and Jah Prayzah and this is proof that the people like her. It would be interesting who else joins this elite group of influencers and who will be the first to hit the 2 million follower mark.

]]>As predicted Mai TT decided to further express her thoughts about Olinda in a live video today (video below). This after she was cautioned by Olinda for talking about social media issues at a meeting with Minister Mutsvangwa instead of issues that affect other women in society.
Olinda also shared some screenshots (pictures below) of messages allegedly sent to her by MaiTT. Much of the long message is Mai TT calling Olinda a fraud with reference to her makeup products. Mai TT proceeds to body shame Olinda calling her an elephant and advising her to go and fix her teeth first before she tries to fix other people’s problems.
Battles on social media are not new but it’s ironically funny how Mai TT is doing the very thing she wants another woman to get arrested for.

]]>It all started when Mai TT and Madam Boss had a meeting with Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Monica Mutsvangwa. At this meeting, Madam Boss and Mai TT advocated for harsher laws against anyone who attacks the two of them, as if the cyber bill wasn’t doing enough. Mai TT particularly pleaded for the arrest of another social media personality known as Evidence Chihera.

Olinda Chapel-Nkomo responded to the meeting proceedings with a comment on her Facebook page (pictures above). She questioned the intentions behind the request made by the influencers. She further expressed disappointment at the fact that nothing was spoken about issues that affects the lives of ordinary women in Zimbabwe. Olinda suggested other topics that could have been brought to the table like creating employment for women, women’s projects and free courses for women.

Mai TT allegedly responded to the comment and texted Olinda (picture above). Olinda then posted the message on her Facebook and filmed a live video further explaining herself. In true Mai TT fashion, she took it personally and allegedly sent more texts insulting Olinda on a personal level and cautioned her to stay out of her business (picture below).

The request made by Mai TT and Madam Boss may seem valid from an influencers point of view, but it was a classic wrong place and wrong time argument. Although it may be true that they face a lot of persecution as media influencers, the platform was not the opportunity to discuss those matters. As women who represent the voice of many other women in Zimbabwe, they could have used it as an opportunity to voice the concerns and outcries of the Zimbabwean woman.
The manner in which words were exchanged by Mai TT and Olinda was wrong because they attacked each other’s personal lives and revealed each other’s secrets. Yet the general message is clear. Meeting Minister Mutsvangwa was an opportunity for the influencers to use their voices for positive change.
