The post Havoc in Parliament as ex Deputy speaker shoots himself dead over car benefits appeared first on Provoker Magazine.
]]>In Malawi a wheelchair ridden ex-deputy speaker, Clement Chiwaya came into parliament to discuss his vehicle benefits. He had been out of office for 2 years.
The 50 year old ex deputy speaker had bought a vehicle towards the end of the term as provided by his contract at the time. 6 months from this point, Chiwaya was involved in a car accident and he tried to have parliament pay for the damages incurred. Unfortunately, his insurance had expired by the time of the accident.
Chiwaya is said to have been unhappy with these conditions of service and shot himself in the office of the clerk of Parliament.
Investigators working on the case are yet to release a full report on the incident. However, people were wondering how he managed to sneak in a gun in the high security Parliament building. A statement by the Parliament stated that as he is wheelchair ridden, the security scanner alerts were assumed to have been coming from the wheelchair he was on.

In other Parliament news, a Zimbabwean woman was previously seen violently standing her ground alongside Julius Malema at the Pan African Parliament meet. Of course, Julius Malema adored this stand by the Zimbabwean woman and made her his party’s Woman Crush on the following Wednesday.
