In Mudzi, Mashonaland East Province, the cases of female rapists are on the rise. The most recent reported case is that of a 23 year old man in Mudzi. The 23 year old is said to have been drugged, raped and dumped by the roadside by two women. Police in Mudzi are still on the hunt for the women. The victim has since been taken to Kotwa Hospital for medical examination.

The incident is said to have taken place on the 28th of August. The unnamed victim was fetching firewood when he was approached by an unregistered commuter omnibus. The driver, a man, was accompanied by two females. One of them was wearing an orange African attire dress.

The driver lured the victim into the car under the pretence that he needed to be shown to a nearby goat seller. As a good Samaritan, the 23 year old willingly went into the car to direct the perpetrators. Thereafter, a substance was sprayed on the victim’s face causing him to lose sight and consciousness. He later found himself at the roadside and realised that he had been abused.

A similar case of a female perpetrator that caught the attention of various media outlets took place in Chitungwiza. It involved a 13 year old boy and a prostitute named Precious Teya(26).

It is comforting to know that society rallies behind victims to fight the end of such behaviour. Even mere comments that encourage the abuse of males can lead one into serious trouble. Ask socialite Alice Tagwira who passed a very inappropriate comment on social media about Herman the musician.
