Citizens have somewhat mixed feelings on the subject and that’s alright. To each his own. If you have taken these words to be a sincere effort to take her innocent name out of the mud, that’s alright. However, if you are not buying it, you might have saved yourself US$3140. It won’t make you a landlord but I guess it could be sufficient to cover some debts and bills, right?

The crime allegedly committed by Masarira seems to have gains that would amount to US$3140. A crime is a crime and we do not endorse any form of thievery, however, we are forced to ask if US$3140 is an amount Masarira deemed worth putting her career on the line for. If it is, we shudder to think of the shambles our country might really be in.

Linda Masarira is said to have been left in custody of her landlords property in Marlborough. However, a year later when Madamombe, the landlord, decided to collect his property it was missing. The court stated that Madamombe is said to have discovered that Masarira had sold his property and converted the money for her own use.
