The pastor, Chris Enoch is from the Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria’s South-south. He is also the founder of Omega Word Global Ministries.

Okon Clan’s youth president reported the matter to the police on Wednesday. He stated that Enoch had killed his wife. The suspicions were caused when the couple’s five children complained to the neighbours that they hadn’t seen their mother for days. This disappearance followed immediately after the Pastor and his wife had a heated argument. During the squabble, the pastor had chased the children away and continued to fight his wife.

The complaints by the five children prompted the youths, lead by a community police officer, to conduct a search for the woman. They were shocked to find her corpse buried in a shallow grave in the pastor’s gated compound.

The Divisional Police Officer in Eket, Sunday Digha, is said to have refused to comment on the incident.

This is not the first time a pastor has been caught up in a scandal unbecoming of a man of God. A Zimbabwean was caught up in a scandal that lead him to step down as a pastor.
