]]>Thanks to twitter, the issue was brought up and people finally had a platform to share their grievances. Others, as we say in our lingo “vapera strong” upon discovering that there is a significant number of Zimbabweans that are able to pay US$3 000+ as monthly rent and still have enough to build lavish homes elsewhere. 
The Zimbabweans living lavishly are deemed to be so out of touch with the realities of the Zimbabwean struggles. No wonder it was such news when Shashl and later Emmerson Mnangagwa Jnr visited Mbare on their own accord.
Below are some sentiments expressed on this issue by Zimbabwean social media users:


These differences in society have even resulted in some rich Zimbabweans coming under fire for their purchase decisions. Some of the elite might not have Strive Masiyiwa Rich List kind of money but they can make out-of-the-ordinary purchases. Zimbabweans like Marvellous Nakamba have been able to purchase Lamborghinis and others Bughattis.
Others are inspired to the extend f taking drastic measures to acquire such wealth. For instance, someone in Bindura almost died fasting and praying for a Lamborghini.
Is there hope for the rest of the nation? Well, although we don’t know exactly how he did it, but you can probably learn a thing or two from the tuckshop owner who saved up enough to buy a Lamborghini.
