]]>Harare Polytechnic was among such schools. Students were allowed to pay their fees in instalments. This provision probably lead them to assume that they would still be able to write exams even if the fees haven’t been paid fully. Unfortunately for them, they were wrong.
As examinations began at Polytechnic, many students were pictured standing outside the college gates. Due to fees not being paid in full students were denied their right to sit for exams.

The Zimbabwe Students National Union took to twitter with sheer disappointment. They said that the Principal of the college had clearly affirmed that these students would be allowed to sit for their exams.
The Principal of Harare Polytechnic College gave assurances last week that he wasn't going to do this.

The situation in tertiary education centres is seriously getting out of hand. no wonder NUST has now legalised crying during exams.
