Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has used his YouTube channel to spread his word on the Gospel. That same YouTube channel has been suspended by YouTube. The pastor has been put under the spotlight for a number of unfulfilled prophecies but that couldn’t be why YouTube suspended the account right? It seems that YouTube has suspended this account for the alleged use of hate speech.
YouTube suspensions usually take place when a channel uploads a video that violates the YouTube Terms of Service. This includes the posting of abusive, hateful or harassing videos or comments. However, TB Joshua’s followers have attested to not seeing any videos or comments that could have breached any of the YouTube Guidelines.
TB Joshua took to his social media pages to say the following with regards to this suspension:
“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Emmanuel TV YouTube Channel Suspension!!!
Emmanuel TV’s mission is to share the love of God with everyone – irrespective of race or religion – and we strongly oppose all forms of hate speech! We have had a long and fruitful relationship with YouTube and believe this decision was made in haste. We appreciate your prayers and support as we are making every effort to appeal this decision and see the channel restored.”
