A 13 year old wiz kid from China, Wang Zhengyang faced some challenges whilst doing his homework and decided to approach the hurdle unlike any other 13 year old.
As a 13 year old, if I didn’t know the answers to my homework either 1) I’d copy a friend who had the answers or 2) ‘forget’ the homework at home. Not Wang Zhengyang though! The Chinese student decided that he would not go back to school the next day without the answers so he hacked the school computer system from his house to get the homework answers.
I find that absolutely hilarious. He couldn’t answer his homework questions and found it easier to hack the school system. Wow!
The Aftermath
Zhengyang was called to work alongside Tsinghua University in Beijing at the age of 13. However, the media was not pleased saying that he had used his hacking prowess for mischief.
The boy argued that in order to hack one needed to identify the weakness of a website or system therefore he planned to use this skill to do good.
Other Hackings
The boy, who has a love for hacking did not start with the school computer. He had been able to hack an online store and change the price of an item from 2 500 yuan to just 1 yuan. However, the media stated that he didn’t go ahead with the purchase and he went on to report the security breech to the store.
The other instance was when he managed to hack a popular Beijing-based software called company called Qihoo 360. He immediately reported the potential system flaw that would affect over 100 educational institutions in the country.
There is no way this occurrence will be easily forgotten!
