To those who associate themselves with the Christian faith, baptism means rebirth. However, others have lost their lives trying to be reborn.
Such was the case in Masvingo when 3 congregants were consumed by the mysterious Musogwenzi River during their baptism. The 3 unfortunate villagers were Witness Chirombo, Cosmo Mvicha and Fungai Berevedzai (14). This took place in the Jongwe Village under Chief Mapanzure in Masvingo Rural District.

This is not the first time an unfortunate event has taken place at a place of worship. Recently, society has been expressing their anger towards those promoting child marriages. This came after the incident of a 14 year old girl who died during childbirth at an Apostolic Sect gathering.
