The world has varied views of Zimbabwe. Even Zimbabweans themselves seem to have very opposing views of what its like to live in the country.
Instances where we can clearly see the conflicting views are numerous. We can consider the description of Zimbabwe in its early ages that the infamous Tendai Beast Mutawarira gave in an interview. Black Zimbabweans found it offensive and an unfair representation, however, the fact still stands that that’s his view of life in Zimbabwe. On the opposite end of the spectrum we can expect to get a different view of what life is like in Zimbabwe from the Zimbabweans that shocked the nation with their ability to afford US$2000+ monthly rental fees.
However, many Zimbabweans have commended the American below for given an accurate description of what like in Zimbabwe really is like.
