Zimbabweans have been flying the nation’s flag high in their different careers on a global scale. Such is the case with Dr Devine Mufa. The medical doctor was recently honoured at some prestigious America-based awards.
Dr Devine Mufa has no doubt made an impact in the automotive space, hence the award. He was honoured as one of the world’s top 100 leading innovators in the automotive and transportation industry.
The recent International Transportation and Automotive Summit (ITAS) Conference held in America, honoured the doctor for innovating a self-driving car. This car comes with a drone and GPS system to assist in its navigation.
Will such a vehicle be feasible in a country such as Zimbabwe which is riddled with potholes?
Dr Mufa says that the technology on this car even helps it navigate potholes effortlessly.
The doctor has been in the automotive industry for some time. He is the founder and director of Hende Moto. This company manufactures three-wheeler vehicles and has an assembly plant in Kwekwe.
The doctor could not help but confidently state:
“We will lead the world in future science and technology because Zimbabwe has the brightest minds in the world.”
As if to prove this brilliance stated above, another Zimbabwean was recently recognised for his groundbreaking drone technology.
