The sensational gospel hip hop artist Mudiwa Hood has been trending consistently in the social media space lately. Why? Well, he has been doing a good job of keeping up with the “philanthropist” status he has in his twitter bio.
Yesterday he sent one of his followers RTGS 3000 and the proof for this has been circulating like hot cakes on social media. The 24 year old birthday man who follows Mudiwa Hood on twitter commented on a tweet by Mudiwa Hood on the day of his birthday. To vaguely quote Mudiwa, this “qualified” him to get the money. Mudiwa said he was giving the money to the man because he was a follower and liked and retweeted his content.
Hold on a minute! Do philanthropists only give to those that have also done something for them? Or do they just give to those in need without expecting anything in return. This seemingly transactional relationship might just sound like a strategy to entice more people to follow him and interact with his content which the Twitter algorithm absolutely loves. Not forgetting that Mudiwa Hood is infact a brand and can benefit immensely in the long run from having a lot more people interact with his content.
Don’t get us wrong, we’re just exploring both sides of the coin. Yes, he might be a philanthropist, but might it be for the wrong reasons or could it be that his approach to philanthropy is not in line with his good intentions?
This guy is truly one of my followers here, of all people with birthdays today who responded to my tweet some do not even follow me, others never liked or RTd anything… this guy manje…Qualifies… with that i say Happy Birthday, I will have a cake done for you and Zwl$3000! https://t.co/X0Vc0a96E0

After all is said and done, there is absolutely no doubt that the artist has been making people’s days and putting smiles on their faces.
