Four touts who were caught on camera harassing a woman at a bus terminal in Dulibadzimu, Beitbridge were arrested. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) took to their twitter page to reveal more information on these touts. The public which was extremely happy when the touts were caught are now disappointed as a result of the new update.
The names and ages of the touts were revealed and perhaps you’ll also realize why this information is a serious cause for concern. The ZRP post read :
“The ZRP announces the names of the four suspects (touts) involved in a case of manhandling and harassment of an elderly woman in Dulibadzimu, Beitbridge as Maxwell Kamuda (42), Lazarus Chingova (44), Michael Mlambo (35) and Worry Muranda (40). More information to follow”
The behaviour that was displayed in the viral video was naturally more expected of younger touts. However, the fact that these are older man, who are also probably men with wives and children, was appalling. People were quick to think of the kind of example these men are setting for the younger ones. If older men showcase such behaviour, what are we to expect of the younger generations? How are the younger ones to be controlled if this is the example being set for them by older generations.
