The late President Robert G Mugabe is still causing a stir from within the grave. The issue of his burial is causing havoc once again as officials have indicated that he was buried in the wrong place. How did we end up here?
As the late President, everyone expected that he would be buried at the National Heroes Acre. However, the President had expressed that he did not wish to be buried there. Earlier this month Grace Mugabe was under fire for burying the President without following the right protocol. We covered that in this article. This choice does not sit well with the country’s leaders and as a result Chief Zvimba has stated that the President should be moved to the Heroes Acre by 1 July 2021, without fail.
