The former President Robert Gabriel Mugabe is making headlines once again. His place of burial has caused a lot of havoc since the day of his death. Naturally, it was expected that he would be laid to rest at the National Heroes Acre. However, things do not always turn out as expected.
Almost two years after his death, Chief Zvimba has summoned the late President’s wife, Grace Mugabe to court. This move is once again as a result of dissatisfaction over the place of his burial.

The letter states that Grace Mugabe is being charged for failure to observe Zvimba protocol in burying the late President.
Speculations have hinted that the issue of the former President’s burial place is of great concern as a result of a certain “tsvimbo yenyika” that is said to have been buried with him. However, some Zimbabweans were quick to brush off this superstitious belief with sarcastic statements on twitter like the following:
“Where can we as the public access the record of national assets? Hatina kumboudzwa wani kuti senyika tine tsvimbo dzedu uye dzinoshandei”
This is not the first time this year that Grace Mugabe has appeared in the headlines. She was mentioned in the media when her son was accused of stealing in Mazowe. You can read about the matter in this article.
