On May 27 2021, we shared the new tactics being used by thieves to confuse you into handing over your property. However, one of the thieves imploring this strategy was caught. Sadly, his brother has committed suicide.
Norman Chagwiza, the skeleton thief was arrested on May 27. Following this incident, his brother, Musiiwa Gondoro is thought to have feared arrest in connection with the theft. He then committed suicide on Monday 31 June.
Before taking his life, Gondoro is said to have told his wife not to disclose how he got some of the household goods.
It is reported that Gondoro and his brother, the skeleton thief, worked together in the area. They are said to have been breaking into unsuspecting residents homes and stealing property.
The Zimbabwe Republic of Zimbabwe and CID Gutu Mupandawana are currently investigating the issue further.
