One such example is Mr Brian Mawoyo who was retrenched by Econet on 27 July 2015. He had been working for Econet for 8 years and had risen to senior manager. Of course these retrenchment issues come unexpectedly and may momentarily set one off the rail. But, a year later, on 27 July 2016 he set up Spinyard Seedlings. The company now employs 120 people and is the largest nursery business in Zimbabwe.

Mawoyo took to social media to celebrate this win and Spinyard Seedlings 5 year anniversary.
