]]>TB Joshua is said to have displayed discrimination of the LGBT community. This is reportedly evident in some of the videos that were available on his channel in which he “cured” gays and people of other sexual orientations. It was pointed out that to “cure” such people is a clear indicator of discriminating such people.
The suspended YouTube channel had a video of a woman being hit violently in the name of curing her sexuality. At least seven clips of this nature were reportedly found on the channel. Facebook later joined this move by removing some of the prophet’s videos from his Facebook platform.
Here’s what TB Joshua had to say about the mess:
“Good Morning! I want to salute our viewers all over the world. I got to know what happened to YouTube when I saw the viewers complaining. That is the work of God! It is like honey. Wherever it drops, insects seek and find it. What happened is a blessing. I want you to help me pray for YouTube. Pray for them! Don’t see them the other way around; see them as friends. We need to be strong. Be strong!”
“I viewed the comments of viewers all over the world. Humanly, I know the way you look at it is not the way I am going to look at it. I look at it differently. Remember to pray for YouTube. Many of you who are here today – if not for YouTube, you may likely not be here. It was through YouTube you viewed TB Joshua and were able to come here. Please, pray for them. Look at it in another way. They are friends. Very soon, the whole thing will be settled. Thank you very much.”

]]>YouTube suspensions usually take place when a channel uploads a video that violates the YouTube Terms of Service. This includes the posting of abusive, hateful or harassing videos or comments. However, TB Joshua’s followers have attested to not seeing any videos or comments that could have breached any of the YouTube Guidelines.
TB Joshua took to his social media pages to say the following with regards to this suspension:
“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Emmanuel TV YouTube Channel Suspension!!!
Emmanuel TV’s mission is to share the love of God with everyone – irrespective of race or religion – and we strongly oppose all forms of hate speech! We have had a long and fruitful relationship with YouTube and believe this decision was made in haste. We appreciate your prayers and support as we are making every effort to appeal this decision and see the channel restored.”
