It has not been uncommon to buy something that proved to be more expensive when converted to RTGS prices. This meant that some businesses would pocket a few more dollars per purchase from the use of higher exchange rates. However, from now on only exchange rates ruled by the government can be used. Any seller caught on the wrong side of this law should expect to face the consequences.
