]]>As some MDC supporters had predicted, there was an alleged attempt by the ruling party to arrest Chamisa following his utterances at the virtual gathering. Chamisa did not conceal his intend to expose and deal with all bad governance policies that he pointed out have seemingly become the norm.
He was said to have been detained at Rhodesville Police Station in Harare as a result of his bravado, freeness of speech and call for a united Zimbabwe at the ‘Agenda 2021’ virtual meet.
However, Nelson Chamisa i said to have refuted these claims. In an interview with News Zimbabwe Chamisa said the following:
“The call for unity must never unsettle anyone because great nations thrive on the pillars of the unity. United citizens are the fuel which can deal with the problems and challenges our great nation”
“Zanu PF must not scared of my clarion call for convergence. I am not beating drums of war. I am just calling for unity. Great nations are built on unity. Zimbabwe does not need a partisanship leadership anymore. Yes, you may be Commander-in-Chief constitutionally, but the country now needs a Father-in-Chief,” he said in reference to President Emmerson Mnangangwa.
In reference to the current economic situation, he said,
“Honestly claims that the economy i son a rebound and even declaring (cash) surpluses cannot hold when every citizen has evidence of a collapsing economy.Recovery is not an expression of letters in the newspaper but a felt experience”

]]>In his exclusive interview with Times Television, Bushiri explained that this unfortunate event took place in a South African prison where Bushiri was held for 11 days for money laundering charges. In addition to being poisoned, Bushiri adds to the list of allegations by referring to the unfair treatment he received as a foreigner in a South African prison. In addition to this he claims that three police officers demanded bribes and threw threats at him while dealing with his case.
He has since fled to Malawi in an attempt to safeguard his life and seek justice in Malawian courts. This follows his release from prison on bail. One of the conditions of this bail was that he should stay in one house for purposes of easy monitoring.
What are you thoughts on this seeming threat to Bushiri’s life and the motives behind it?
