Mary Mubaiwa was convicted for lying that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga had agreed to solemnize their marriage at a time he was in hospital in India and for that, she has been charged a fine of 60 000 RTGS.

A 12-year jail sentence has been waived on the condition that she does not commit a similar offence within the next 5 years.

Amidst her court battle with the Vice President, Mary has also been battling health issues that recently culminated with doctors declaring that her right arm will be amputated due to severe sepsis.

The state of her health has left people sympathizing with her including her ex-husband Shingi Kaondera who took the time to check on her in hospital despite their past disputes.

In a touching post with an old picture of them together Shingi said:

“After 10 years l finally met Mai Dee, yesterday at the hospital, thank u Jesus, we spent 2 glorious hours together, she is still wonderful, some souls cant be tempered with, trust me l left her in very high spirits and very jovial mood, and determined as ever to beat her discomforting disease, and she said l know Shingi Ras Kaondera u are a prayerful warrior  u will pray for me, and l was like u know l always, and l thanked her for taking very good care of our daughter together Destiny she has grown up to be just like my mom, so friends of mine keep on praying for her and thank for your support physically morally and spiritually may Jah_ God_ Allah_MWARI_ bless u all, if l didn’t have a running with the media l was gonna show you the pics##more_prayers”

Many people were not only touched but also alarmed by the post since the two had a nasty divorce that had Shingi suing Mary for forging divorce papers. He also claimed that Mary had changed his daughter Destiny’s surname to her maiden name without his permission.

Mary Mubaiwa has been struggling with her disease for a while now and recently doctors have declared that her right arm has to be amputated after a failed attempt to save it.
