TB Joshua is said to have displayed discrimination of the LGBT community. This is reportedly evident in some of the videos that were available on his channel in which he “cured” gays and people of other sexual orientations. It was pointed out that to “cure” such people is a clear indicator of discriminating such people.

The suspended YouTube channel had a video of a woman being hit violently in the name of curing her sexuality. At least seven clips of this nature were reportedly found on the channel. Facebook later joined this move by removing some of the prophet’s videos from his Facebook platform.

YouTube suspensions usually take place when a channel uploads a video that violates the YouTube Terms of Service. This includes the posting of abusive, hateful or harassing videos or comments. However, TB Joshua’s followers have attested to not seeing any videos or comments that could have breached any of the YouTube Guidelines.

TB Joshua took to his social media pages to say the following with regards to this suspension:

“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Emmanuel TV YouTube Channel Suspension!!!

Emmanuel TV’s mission is to share the love of God with everyone – irrespective of race or religion – and we strongly oppose all forms of hate speech! We have had a long and fruitful relationship with YouTube and believe this decision was made in haste. We appreciate your prayers and support as we are making every effort to appeal this decision and see the channel restored.”

YouTube themselves acknowledges that reaching 100 000 subscribers is no joke. As a result, they award people who have reached this goal like Comic Pastor has. YouTube personally builds a Silver Creator Award for a creator who has reached 100 000 subscribers and ships it to them within 2-3 weeks depending on where they live.

However, one has to pass the eligibility test to given the Silver Creator Award. Some prerequisites include having an account in good standing without any copyright infringement strikes or violation of YouTube community guidelines.

Congratulations to Comic Pastor for this well deserved milestone reached.

There is no doubt that this increased exposure certainly will continue to open many doors of opportunity for the comedian as it did to Madam Boss.

At this point, Comic Pastor has already worked with well known brands including Econet Zimbabwe and Steward Bank while occasionally being invited to MC events outside the country.
