Before the plane charter was due to fly with Zimbabweans being deported back to Zimbabwe, it had seemed that things were going to work out alright. Now, all hopes seem to be lost as some Zimbabweans have already arrived in the country.
So we can safely say that the letter send to Home Affairs minister Priti Patel by British MPs wasn’t effective. The 75 British MPs were hoping to have Priti Patel rethink her decision to deport Zimbabweans. They stated that the conditions in Zimbabweans were still unsafe for them.
However, of the 50 Zimbabweans that are said to have arrived, 14 were reportedly taken to an unknown location at 10 am today. Some have speculated that they might have been en route to a quarantine location or might have been involved in the political affairs of the country.
