South African rapper AKA and Nellie Thembe(22) had a love story that shook the nation. Not just their nation but fans on an international scale were moved. The South African rapper AKA had just paid the lobola price for his bride-to-be Nellie Thembe in March 2021 and the duo was looking forward to a lifetime together as husband and wife.

Nellie Thembe is said to have been dealing with depression which caused her to jump from the 10th floor and right to her death. This goes to show the wisdom in the popular saying “be kind to everyone, you never know what they’re going through.” A cliche statement, yes, but in looking at Nellie’s glamourous life, fans have admitted that they thought she was as happy as can be with not a care in the world.
The Rapper AKA’s family and the Thembe family have since released an official statement regarding the death of the rapper’s fiance.
