Woman thoroughly beats husband for asking why she brings lovers to their marital home

When people speak of gender based violence, it usually refers to men bashing their wives. Not much consideration is given by society to the men that are beaten by their wives.

Sithandazile Lunga, a woman in Cordrow Park was known for her reputation of bringing her lovers to her marital home. When her husband finally gathered up the courage to confront her about the matter, she thoroughly assaulted him with her fists.

According to their very shocked neighbours, Lunga was in the habit of beating her husband, Masala Zikhali. The woman must have found pleasure in beating her husband outside where all the neighbours could see her in action. This made her husband become the laughing stock of their neighbourhood.

Relatives of the wife had given up on her resulting in Zikhali being forced to take the matter to the courts. He sought out a peace order from his wife of six years.

Zikhali told the courts that the six years they have been married and living together were full of misery. In addition to the physical assault, Lunga is said threaten to poison and stab her husband on numerous occasions. One such case was when asked why she brings her boyfriends over to their home.

Fortunately for the Bulawayo man, Western Commonage Magistrate, Jeconia Prince Ncube, the order was granted.
