The rise of Covid-19 cases have caused many to be fearful. Mashonaland West, Masvingo and Bulawayo provinces have been put into strict localised lockdowns to contain the spread of the virus. However, some have felt like more can be done to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers, issued a press statement almost begging President Mnangagwa to put the whole nation under strict lockdown.

This press statement was greeted distastefully by some Zimbabweans. Some said its easy for them to say because they provide services deemed essential. However, this would mean that many Zimbabwean’s source of income could be momentarily cut off.
