We know they’re called face bricks, but its sad that this angry ex lover took the term too literally.
A Mpilo Hospital male nurse has been arrested for allegedly hitting his ex-lover with a brick on her face. This came following a misunderstanding over their child’s welfare. So much for a nurse who, by profession is expected to be nurturing!
The nurse, Lawrence Mpala (25), was confronted by his ex-lover Pamela Matutu (25) over his failure to pay child support at his home in Makokoba suburb. He responded to this confrontation by throwing a brick to her face. The brick cut Matutu on her left eye lid.
The following day Matutu again went to Mpala’s home to ask why he had sent $4500 instead of the required $6000. Once again, Mpala pounced on Matutu’s head.
Mpala was not asked to plead and has been remanded out of custody to the 15th of October 2021. His bail charge amounts to $3000.
This level of violence is similar to that portrayed by a father who choked and beat his daughter over virginity issues.
