While we await the day “price review” in Zimbabwe refers to a reduction in prices, ZERA has just announced a fuel prices review. Yes, you guessed it, the prices were reviewed upwards.
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is the body responsible for the regulation of energy in Zimbabwe. They are not new to coming under fire from citizens complaining about the “unreasonable” prices of energy. Since the announcement, citizens are already dreading the spiralling effect that normal follow such price hikes.
Other commodities will be expected to start increasing in price. This was seen earlier this year when the President of the National Bakers Association(NBAZ), Dennis Wallah, even attributed the high cost of bread to ZERA as energy prices continued to rise.

Do you think this price review will have a significant impact on prices of other commodities?
