In the post, Tinashe talks about how he trusted Mabootz to do some work on his truck after he had seen positive feedback about him on social media. Below is the full ordeal

“I would like to name & shame Trevor Mabootz. He got a shoutout from Zimbabwe’s favourite journalist for doing outstanding work so I decided to book a paint job for my pride and joy, this was the WORST mistake of my life. He parades online as a paint & bodywork specialist and uses his employer’s pictures of previous work carried out to rope in customers, this has gained him a lot of popularity on social media, particularly Twitter. He then keeps some jobs for himself.

The initial paint job was supposed to be a Rhino liner base & Nardo Grey paint all around, the result was the worst paint job I have ever seen, he even used the wrong shade of grey as seen in the pics, nonetheless, I gave him the opportunity to rectify the situation.

He asked me to drop off my vehicle at his employer’s premises in Graniteside, this was done to pull the wool over our eyes.

A few days passed & I called to check on progress but no response. After a couple more days I started to get worried so I went to Graniteside but they informed me that he never booked my truck in with the office & other staff members had seen him joyriding & drink driving in my vehicle.

Out of pity, his boss gave me Trevor’s wife’s number who then informed me of where my vehicle was, so after 4 days of searching, I finally found my vehicle. She was in a sorry state, the suspension was completely broken & all 2 tons of metal were resting on 1 $350 tyre. All of this plus other bent or broken internals showed signs of an impact.

Through all this, Trevor Mabootz was in hiding & left his wife to deal with his problems.

He called me the day after I managed to recover my car & promised to fix the issues, he was also adamant that there was no impact which made absolutely no sense. Fortunately for me, the recovery truck driver which he used recognized the vehicle and approached us to ask if we had fixed it, he then told us exactly what happened the evening he recovered it.

The day came for Trevor Mabootz to man up but he went missing again & has been hiding ever since only popping up here & there to delete my messages on his wall requesting him to do the right thing, therefore, I have decided to come name & shame him here, PLEASE AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE, it will end in tears. The issue is now with the Police.

Yet so many testimonies on social media platforms like Tete Fadzi on Twitter, Tete Jenny on Facebook and Jackie Ngarande on Facebook show the opposite and prove that there are men that make the effort.

Jackie Ngarande posted a testimony sent to her inbox by a follower. In the testimony, the married man talks about how he empowered his wife to start a business of buying and selling. She started off buying her wares from Mbare and later bought from South Africa, Tanzania and Turkey.

The man says his wife excelled in her business so well she even has more money than he has. Yet after helping her establish herself in the business she started looking down on the man. She advised him to stop hanging out with people she considered low class and even had disputes with the man’s relatives.

As if that’s not enough, she also started having an affair with a well-known man in Harare who also orders his wares from Turkey. The man claims that they use the trips to Turkey as an opportunity to see each other and spend time together. At the end of his message, the man expresses that he has decided to divorce his wife and does not encourage men to empower women as they will end up looking down on them.

This is not the first case posted on social media. Apparently, this is very common in Zimbabwe the very same country with hoards of women that complain that “the streets” are dry. There have been stories of men who send their girlfriends to school and are later dumped by the same girlfriends. It’s baffling how these stories are always flooding the timeline.

This development comes after Madam Boss met with the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting, Monica Mutsvangwa a few weeks back. A lot of local influencers have been working with the government on various projects like the Women for ED initiative meant to empower young women. Other popular names associated with this initiative are Mai TT and Zodwa Mkandla. Could Madam Boss’ trip be a result of rubbing shoulders with the government or is it part of her strategy to spread her wings of influence beyond Zimbabwe?

Mai TT is a popular figure on various social media platforms with a Facebook following of just over 1 million. She says her aim is to harness that influence to help people find love. In her live video, she talks about how difficult it is to find a partner and more so when one is HIV positive. She spoke about how she will also have sessions dedicated to helping HIV positive people find love on her dating show.

The dating show will be hosted on Facebook Live. And people that wish to be matched with a potential partner will have to request to join the live video. Upon being selected to feature in the live video the requester will then be given a chance to showcase themselves. According to Mai TT, she will ask a few questions so that people can know a few basic details of the singles that request to feature in the live video sessions.

This approach is definitely not for the faint-hearted single or for people with insecurities. It requires a lot of courage and confidence to put yourself out there on an international platform in search of love. Mai TT didn’t make it any easier when she advised that those that wish to participate should make sure they dress up and make themselves presentable for the occasion to avoid embarrassing themselves.

The service seems to be free of charge as there was no fee mentioned in Mai TT video (link below) or the flier (picture above) on her Facebook page. Mai TT mentioned that she saw the idea on another American woman’s Facebook page and she was inspired to do her own version for Zimbabweans. It’s definitely not the conventional way of meeting someone but it’s promising to be an interesting and entertaining dating show.

Olinda also shared some screenshots (pictures below) of messages allegedly sent to her by MaiTT.  Much of the long message is Mai TT calling Olinda a fraud with reference to her makeup products. Mai TT proceeds to body shame Olinda calling her an elephant and advising her to go and fix her teeth first before she tries to fix other people’s problems.

Battles on social media are not new but it’s ironically funny how Mai TT is doing the very thing she wants another woman to get arrested for.

Companies can also utilize their own websites to advertising. This method is not too costly. It involves coming up with content that is tailored to rank in Search Engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo. If your content is Search Engine Optimised, it can show up on Google, Bing and Yahoo when someone simply makes a search for the service/business or offer.

3. Classifieds Ads

Classifieds Ads are ads that appear on Classifieds Websites you have chosen to invest in. Such websites will present you with different packages that can determine where your ad shows up on the site. These packages often start from “Free.”

The sites commonly have large audiences on various social media platforms that they share your content to. Ads you place on these platforms are also likely to show up on Goggle, Yahoo, Bing etc when someone searches for them.

The company’s own research is said to prove that they are in the forefront of promoting hate speech, misinformation and political unrest. In the case of Instagram, it is said to harm teenage girls.
