]]>In Harare, two people were killed on the spot and three injured when a Honda Fit was ravaged by an oncoming train at a railway crossing along Chiremba Road in Hillside. The railway crossing has traffic lights which unfortunately have not been working for several years.
In Bulawayo, six people were killed on the spot and eight others hospitalized when a combi and a haulage truck collided at the intersection of Khami Road and Masiyephambili, close to the Nkulumane Complex. The combi rolled over several times and landed on the roof.
Both these accidents involve illegal forms of transport; the mshikashika (small cars used to ferry passengers at a fee) and the unlicensed combi. The government has been making efforts to ban unlicensed commuters on the road and encouraging people to use licensed ZUPCO vehicles.
However, there is a huge demand for transport and people often favour using unlicensed (go fast) transporters than waiting in long queues to secure a seat on a ZUPCO vehicle.

He and his friend entertained ladies and ran up a large bill at the restaurant for food and beverages.
On top of that he treated the ladies to spa treatments.
His expenditure was in excess of $3000 leaving a fraudulent World Remit transfer.
A very generous reward will be given to anyone who gives information that leads to his arrest.

]]>There have been spas and massage parlours opened in Harare over recent years. These parlours advertise their services mostly on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. There wasn’t much to note but recently some adverts have been raising some eyebrows.
I came across a flier on Twitter by a massage parlour called Paradise Bliss Therapeutic Massage Spa based in Harare Borrowdale. What’s so interesting about the flier? Some of the terms used had me wondering if I had a dirty mind or if there really are some suggestive clues behind the words they use to describe their services.
What caught my eye first was the tagline “Don’t think about it, like Nike just do it”. maybe they mean that one must not think too deeply about the cost of getting a massage? Then things got a bit interesting when I read the description of the services they offer.
The services were listed as follows: Massage, Scrubbing, Nail Cutting, Pedicure. Admittedly this was not strange at all. And then the list continues; NSA, Shower Massage, Full Package, Shaving, Nuru Massage, Double Delight. Firstly, I’ve never heard of a shower massage and a search on Google showed massaging showerheads that release water at high pressure for a massaging effect. Maybe that’s what’s offered at Paradise Bliss?
A Nuru massage is an erotic massage technique that originated in Japan where the massage therapist rubs their body against the client’s body when both parties are nude and covered with an odourless and colourless massage lotion. I don’t know about you but that’s some really close contact.
Other services offered like Shaving, Full Package and Double Delight can only be explained by the owners of the massage parlour. Another interesting thing is the line under the services written: “We also offer Greek Massage & Lesbian Show”. We won’t even mention the image of the woman on the flier.
Another interesting massage related service in Harare found on Facebook is a post by Lorraine Sharon captioned;
“Tine a dark and lovely therapist. Make a booking nesu nhasi and enjoy your weekend after a relaxing massage session. #darkberries”
The interesting part is the enjoyment of the weekend AFTER the massage. Is the word massage being used as a front for other activities? This is also interesting since Zimstat recently announced that sex workers will be considered gainfully employed during the upcoming 2022 census in April.

True to zimbo nature, people took the opportunity to express their disgust at the thought that someone would import such an expensive car in such a struggling economy.
The 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo is one of the best sports cars in the world and it doesn’t come cheap. The MSRP is US $270,530 in basic trim, with most customers adding tens of thousands of dollars of upgrades. This means that the importer probably paid duties worth north of US $400,000 depending on the purchase price of the car and transport method used.
Although Zimbabwe has a struggling economy, more and more rich Zimbabweans have been seen buying and driving expensive luxury supercars in recent years. It would be interesting to see who will drive the car on our streets. Who do you think it will be?

]]>A Harare man, Michael Chizanga, was said to have seen a huge opportunity present itself when Catherine Ruvimbo Gotora (25) was relieving herself. He couldn’t resist the urge of reaching out for her backside as she helped herself.
This incident took place at the intersection of Kwame Nkurumah Avenue and 8th Street on August 7. The moment Catherine is said to have felt him groping her, she immediately retaliated. She bit of Chizanga’s lower lip.
Chizanga took the matter to the courts with a medical report as evidence. Catherine then explained her side of the story to the courts.
The trial was postponed to October 10.
This is not the first time the Zimbabwean courts have been presented with not-your-everyday type of stories. Recently a woman took her husband to court for starving her in bed.
