What do you think of this move?
Various Zimbabweans on social media do not seem to be in support of the minister despite him implying that he has been moved by the people to run for president.

]]>The United Nations offered protective measures aimed at safeguarding vulnerable populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. On Tuesday, 115 nations are said to have voted for the implementation of these provision. These nations include South Africa and Botswana.
However, it didn’t come as much of a surprise when countries notorious for such crimes voted against this United Nations measure. These countries include North Korea, Russia, China, Burundi, and Eritrea. These countries refused to vote for the resolution as they would then be answerable to the UN for any failure to protect their populous from the war induced atrocities, genocides and infringements on human rights. The aforementioned countries have been involved in atrocities against their own people and evidently would not like to be held responsible for that.
Zimbabwe has also refuted the UN resolution and apparently political analysts are not staggered by this move. The UN has placed Zimbabwe in 4th position on their list of notorious countries.
View the list below:

As mentioned before, this isn’t the first time Zimbabwe has been included in a list with some of the countries in the above list. View the Forbes list here.
However, perhaps we can still look on the bright side. The President stated that the country is on its way to becoming the bread basket of Africa once again. View the reasons for that notion in this article.

]]>The claim of POLAD not being a true dialogue platform seemed to be confirmed when in January of 2019, the government went ahead to gazette a controversial Constitutional Amendment Bill, which had not taken into consideration POLAD member’s proposals regarding constitutional changes.
If the allegation of joining POLAD is true, it begs the question, why then would a leader of an opposition party choose to be a part of such a dialogue platform after some resistance?
Well, in the vote of thanks speech Hon Douglas Mwonzora gave during the launch of the second vaccination program in Victoria Falls, stated that “politics of divisive vancour are a thing of the past” He suggested that the political outlook had changed from “political self-aggrandisement” to putting the nation first. He continued to share the following sentiments:
“We don’t want politics of hunger, hate and intolerance. As leaders of the opposition we should work for the betterment of the economy to save our people and also support the vaccination programme.”
Watch a snippet of the Honorable’s speech below:
Mwonzora’s move has been viewed as affirmation of suspicions that the MDC-T has been fraternising with the ruling party in and attempt to wipe out the main opposition party led by Nelson Chamisa.
Some have pointed to that this move could be the same strategy of political survival described by the late President Robert Mugabe as the “Madhuku Strategy.” The only difference in this case would be that instead of the opposition causing havoc in the ruling party as was described by the late ex-President, it is viewed as the ruling party’s attempt at disarming the opposition Party since the 2023 elections are fast approaching.
Watch as the Late President describes the “Madhuku Strategy” below:
Fadzayi Mahere, spokesperson for MDC-A led by Nelson Chamisa had the following sentiments to share regarding this move:
“We will take all necessary steps to stop the attempt by Zanu PF and its surrogates who usurped the will of the people to create a one-party State. The regime must respect the democratic and constitutional rights of the citizens to challenge its policies and offer alternatives for the betterment of the nation,”
However, amidst claims that Mwonzora is being used as a puppet by the ruling party and has joined POLAD, he shared the following sentiment:
“It’s a national event where people unite to fight the pandemic. We have nothing to do with Polad. This is not a Polad event”

]]>Prophet Angel, as the title suggests, is popularly known for the role he fills as an evangelical preacher and the founder of a UK based Pentecostal Ministry. This Ministry was named ‘Spirit Embassy’ before it rebranded to ‘Good News Church’ in 2015.
His influence does not end in the church. He is also the founder of the Angel Organization with is the parent company for all his other business ventures. Some of these ventures include real estate investments and the popularly known Millionaire Academy which was founded to help individuals learn how to become millionaires.
His newly founded role as Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large has been added to the responsibilities he already bears by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. His scope of influence as Ambassador at Large will include Europe, North America, South America and Central America. The Ambassadorship he bears is said to have granted him full powers to sign treaties or act for the state. Another term for this role is Ambassador Plenipotentiary.
What could have merited him to be considered for this role?
Well, some have pointed out that his two university degrees seem to make him fitting for the responsibility. He holds a degree in Business Finance from Salford University,UK and a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Bolton in the UK.
IN addition to the above qualifications, he is known for his humanitarian works. Last year alone he is said to have spent US$1 million in coronavirus relief and distributed food across Zimbabwe with the help of MDC and Zanu PF.
With this knowledge , government sources say President Mnangagwa hopes to leverage the Prophet’s international profile and merits to promote the country.

]]>The post Linda Masarira declares herself President of Zimbabwe in 2028 appeared first on Provoker Magazine.
]]>In an interview with Magamba TV Take Down, Masarira expressed her confidence that she will be the president in 2028 with a doubt. Her remarks were as follows:
“Realistically i will be the first female of Zimbabwe. 2023 has got a lot of political dynamics in place and for me I am going to take 2023 as a lesson. I am going to get into it to understand the ropes because you cannot just jump into it or get to it just because you have just jumped into a pool.
We always have to learn, we always have to take baby steps and we always have to learn how to do things. So for me I don’t see myself getting into power in 2023 because of the political dynamics in our political space.
But I am taking that opportunity to learn, to understand and perfect my campaign going forward and making sure that in 2028 I will be seating in Munhumutapa Building (President’s offices) right there in Samora Machel Avenue”
What challenges might she have to face?
Well, for starters, less than 40 made it the National Assembly through direct voting. Of the ones that are there, it would seem that they had to depend on the Proportional Representation Clause to get to that position.
Will Masarira beat the odds and become the first female President in 2028?
