]]>As the late President, everyone expected that he would be buried at the National Heroes Acre. However, the President had expressed that he did not wish to be buried there. Earlier this month Grace Mugabe was under fire for burying the President without following the right protocol. We covered that in this article. This choice does not sit well with the country’s leaders and as a result Chief Zvimba has stated that the President should be moved to the Heroes Acre by 1 July 2021, without fail.

]]>Almost two years after his death, Chief Zvimba has summoned the late President’s wife, Grace Mugabe to court. This move is once again as a result of dissatisfaction over the place of his burial.

The letter states that Grace Mugabe is being charged for failure to observe Zvimba protocol in burying the late President.
Speculations have hinted that the issue of the former President’s burial place is of great concern as a result of a certain “tsvimbo yenyika” that is said to have been buried with him. However, some Zimbabweans were quick to brush off this superstitious belief with sarcastic statements on twitter like the following:
“Where can we as the public access the record of national assets? Hatina kumboudzwa wani kuti senyika tine tsvimbo dzedu uye dzinoshandei”
This is not the first time this year that Grace Mugabe has appeared in the headlines. She was mentioned in the media when her son was accused of stealing in Mazowe. You can read about the matter in this article.

]]>Goreraza, who is Grace Mugabe’s son from a previous marriage, was reported to have spearheaded the stealing of a gold smelter, ball mill, electric motor, approximately 200 ball mill metal balls, 20 slay pumps, 50 ball mill liners and 15 angle iron bars. These items are said to have been loaded with a crane into a truck by his three accomplices.
His three accomplices were Paul Sithole (45), Aaron Muchenje (31) and Trymore Madzitire (36). The trio appeared before magistrate Moreblessing Makati yesterday.
Prince Danda, managing director of number 9 Calgary Farm, Mazowe was the complainant on this case. It was reported that on the 10th of April at 7am, the three men, under direction from Goreraza, started dismantling a processing plant on the farm belonging to the late President Robert Gabriel Mugabe and Grace Mugabe.
The plot was soon intercepted by the Mazowe Police and they were arrested.
Thus far, just US$300 000 of the stolen US$1 300 000 property has been recovered.
