All eyes are on Swaziland as we speak. The nation has been under the rule of King Muswati III since 1986. He came into power at the age of 18. His lavish lifestyle and alleged violations of human rights have now caught up with him.
The people of Swaziland have been carrying out pro-democratic protests. A few days after they protests began the government announced a ban on marches. Unfortunately, the people responded with even more violent protests leading to King Muswati III immediately fleeing the country on the 28th of June 2021 at around 10pm. He is said to have taken refuge in Johannesburg, South Africa.
His fleeing to South Africa has lead onlookers to conclude that indeed, all criminals flock to South Africa.
Another alleged criminal, prophet Bushiri also previously fled to South Africa to seek out protection.
